U16 London Ladies Cup

U16 London Ladies Cup 2025 – First Edition at Epsom College
From 15 to 17 August 2025, the first edition of the U16 London Ladies Cup will take place at the beautiful facilities of Epsom College. This new international girls’ football tournament brings together 9 elite U16 teams from across Europe for a competitive and unique 3-day event just outside London.

Despite a last-minute withdrawal by Tottenham Hotspur, the tournament retains its high-level character. The competition will now feature three groups of three teams each, promising exciting matchups and a dynamic ranking-based schedule.

Tournament Setup

  • Group Stage – 3 Groups of 3
  • Each team plays 2 matches of 2 x 25 minutes against the other teams in their group.
  • The group standings after these matches will determine the next round of fixtures.
  • Group A: Arsenal, Heming Fotball, B.93
  • Group B: Chelsea FC, Norsk Spiller Utvikling, Ballerup-Skovlunde Football
  • Group C: Aston Villa FC, Jitex BK, Brøndby IF

 

Ranking-Based Cross Matches

After the group stage, teams are ranked within their group (1st, 2nd, 3rd). This ranking determines their next opponent:

  • Each group winner plays against a group third from another group.
  • Each group runner-up plays against a runner-up from another group.

This format ensures fresh and balanced matchups moving into the next phase of the tournament.

The points earned in the Ranking-Based Cross Matches are added to the points from the group stage. This combined total determines the overall ranking. Every match from start to finish directly impacts the final standings.

Final Phase – Position Play-Offs
The overall ranking after the group stage and the ranking-based matches determines which teams move into the final phase.

  • The top 4 teams move into the semifinals and then the final to compete for the London Ladies Cup title.
  • The remaining 5 teams play two more matches each to determine the final ranking from places 5 to 9.

Each team will play a total of 6 matches over 3 days.
