Holland Elite Sports Agency is thrilled to welcome Hockey Mentors from the United Kingdom for another exciting international hockey experience in the Netherlands. Fresh off their U14 Girls’ championship win at the 2025 Den Bosch International Tournament, the British academy returns for a new challenge. This time with four squads: U14 Boys, U14 Girls, U16 Boys and U16 Girls.
Taking place from November 28th to 30th, the weekend promises a packed schedule of competitive matches, indoor tournaments and international connection. The teams will be based at the Van der Valk Hotel Nieuwerkerk.
On Saturday, the U16 Boys and Girls open the tour with indoor tournaments at Sportpark Boshuizerkade and HBR Rotterdam, while the U14 Boys and Girls face top Dutch opposition from HC Den Bosch at R.H.V. Leonidas.
Sunday’s program brings a full day of fixtures for all four teams. At R.H.V. Leonidas, the U16 Boys will take on HC Den Bosch U16B-1, followed by the U16 Girls against HC Den Bosch U16G-1. Meanwhile, the U14 Boys will compete in an indoor tournament at Sportpark Boshuizerkade, and the U14 Girls will continue their strong indoor campaign at HBR Rotterdam. The weekend will conclude with shared team moments and travel back to the UK, bringing home valuable and international experiences.
The schedule continues into Sunday, with smooth transitions between breakfast, match preparations and transfers. After their fixtures, the U16 teams enjoy a shared lunch at Leonidas before beginning their journey back to Schiphol Airport. The U14 squads follow their own programme, with the Boys finishing their indoor tournament before departing, while the Girls complete their final tournament block at HBR.
In addition to the competitive fixtures, the tour includes a structured programme that allows players to reset, refuel and spend time together as a group. After arriving late on Friday evening, all four Hockey Mentors squads settle into the hotel before beginning an intense weekend of hockey. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, teams rotate between the hotel, tournament venues, and match locations, ensuring that each group experiences both indoor and outdoor play.
For the U14 Boys and Girls, the Saturday afternoon fixtures at R.H.V. Leonidas offer an exciting opportunity to face HC Den Bosch, a club known for its strong youth development. Meanwhile, the U16 squads spend much of the day indoors, competing in high-tempo tournaments that test quick decision-making and technical precision.

Hockey Mentors is a UK-based development organisation founded in 2020 by Jack Childs, built around the mission to give talented players from state-schools and/or ethnic minority backgrounds the opportunity to excel in a performance environment. The concept emerged when Jack recognised the lack of tangible opportunities facing players from non-independent schools and decided to create a platform to address that.
At its core, Hockey Mentors operates through three key pillars: coaching & competition, connection, and development, structured via their High-Performance Programme, Competitions Programme and Junior International (JI) Programme.
