Epsom College Girls on a Field Hockey Adventure in The Netherlands

From August 19th to 23rd, the prestigious Epsom College in the UK will be bringing three of its girls’ field hockey teams (U18-1, U18-2, and U15) to The Netherlands for an international sports tour.

Ranked amongst the UK’s top-tier institutions, Epsom College was established in 1853 and has since evolved into a leading private boarding school. This revered establishment, nestled in Surrey, is just 15 miles from the bustling heart of London.

At Epsom College, sports is not just seen as a competition but as an avenue for instilling invaluable skills such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience. It’s a significant aspect of the institution’s holistic development approach.

Epsom offers an impressive roster of more than 22 sports, and the expansive 72-acre campus is generously equipped to facilitate this. Among the top-notch sports facilities available are a 25-meter swimming pool, 33 tennis courts, 15 pitches for rugby and football, and dedicated field hockey pitches.

For the duration of their tour, Epsom’s field hockey teams will make the Dutch city of Schiedam their home base. Training sessions will take place at the superb facilities of HC Schiedam, boasting four water-based pitches. The Epsom teams will also have the chance to test their skills in three friendly matches against Dutch teams. Conveniently, the training grounds are a short walk from their hotel, ensuring efficient use of training time.

Holland Elite Sports Agency, which is organizing this tour, wishes the Epsom College teams the best of luck. They aim to give the players an unforgettable experience, full of exciting games and new cultural experiences.
