Holland Elite Sports Agency proudly looks back on another inspiring international tour, as the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Women’s U21 team completed a memorable 12-day stay in the Netherlands. Based in Soest, the SAI women U21 trained and competed at some of the country’s best hockey venues, combining intensive preparation with valuable international experience. Throughout the tour, the SAI women trained daily at the world-class training facilities at MHC Soest. The program featured four challenging friendlies against Dutch opponents, They played friendlies against MHC Fletiomare Ladies 1, SCHC GU18-1, Kampong GU18-1 and USHC Ladies 1.

Away from the pitch, the squad enjoyed a sightseeing day in Amsterdam, highlighted by a scenic canal cruise and free time in the city centre, a well-earned cultural experience.
The group explored the city’s famous canals, historic architecture, and an vibrant atmosphere. A completely new experience for most of them. The day offered a perfect balance of relaxation and inspiration, allowing the players to recharge, reflect, and connect in a more personal way before returning to their busy schedule of training and matches.
Holland Elite continues to connect top-level hockey with international exchange and cultural experiences. For some of the players, it was their first time in Europe, making the tour not only a sporting challenge but also a personal milestone.
The SAI women followed a disciplined daily routine during their stay at Stayokay Hostel Soest, with early breakfast and two structured training sessions per day. Meals, rest, and recovery were all carefully planned to ensure the SAI women performed at their best. This collaboration once again highlighted the strong sporting connection between India and the Netherlands. For the players, the tour offered not just competition but also opportunities to learn from Dutch hockey culture. With another successful European tour completed, the SAI women U21 return home enriched with new insights and international experiences.
The experience will undoubtedly serve as a stepping stone for the young athletes as they continue their journey toward international success. Their time in the Netherlands not only improved their game but also expanded their perspective on what it means to compete and grow at the highest level of hockey.
