This summer marks a special occasion as the Hope College Soccer Team, under the guidance of Coach David Blahnik, embarks on an eagerly anticipated tour to the Netherlands. Organized by Holland Elite Sports Agency, from July 27 to August 9, 2024, this adventure is enriched by a strategic partnership with KingsTalent. KingsTalent plays a crucial role in guiding student-athletes through the journey of studying and playing sports in the United States, ensuring a blend of academic and athletic growth.
Nestled in Holland, Michigan, Hope College is celebrated for its dedication to fostering both intellectual and athletic excellence. Founded by Dutch immigrants, their mascot is the “Flying Dutchmen.”
Hope College is a top academic research institution in the country, currently competing in NCAA DIII sports, with an enrollment of 3,250 undergraduate students. Under Coach Blahnik’s guidance since May 2022, the soccer team has experienced a resurgence, achieving remarkable success on the field and exemplifying unity and determination.
But this tour is more than just a series of matches; it’s a holistic experience that combines the thrill of international competition with cultural immersion. The team will engage in friendly matches against clubs from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, alongside exploring the historical and vibrant cities of Amsterdam, Brussels, and Cologne.
During their stay at the Carlton President Hotel in Utrecht, the team is set for an experience filled with learning, growth, and adventure. And with the Netherlands proudly welcoming a team from its namesake, Holland, Michigan, Holland Elite Sports Agency is proud to receive Hope College, and the excitement is palpable. This tour promises unforgettable memories and a celebration of the universal spirit of soccer.
